This was very difficult news to receive, understandably, but a nurse practitioner came later to tell the family that they did not believe the tumor to be cancerous as it did not absorb any of the contrast dye. I had this patient on Saturday and he was being kept until Monday (at least) for a neurology and oncology consult. ”

The mother found out that her only son has a brain tumor when she received a phone call from the doctor.”
