Instruction
Structure of Paper
I. Summary of treatment: Summarize the key components of the treatment, including which paradigm it fits within and why it fits in that paradigm (justify your argument using terms and concepts from the paradigm and the treatment).
II. Article summary: Summarize the main points of the study. At a minimum, you should include the research question, the methods the authors chose to answer the question, and their results. You should include some information on the treatment as it was delivered in the study as well as the way the authors measured the outcomes of the treatment.
III. Reflection: Critically analyze the journal article you reviewed – are you compelled by the evidence the authors presented? Do you see any ethical concerns in the study? What are the strengths or limitations of the study? Do you think this treatment is “best” for the disorder? Why or why not?
IV. References: Your references section should be started on a new page (does not count towards your page total), be formatted in APA style, and include all required references.
For the summary of treatment, it fit The Psychodynamic Paradigm
Formatting and length: Each paper should be 2-3 double-spaced pages total. Use 12 point Times New Roman font and 1 inch margins all around. Do not include any extra spaces between paragraphs or sections. You should include a title page that contains your name, the date, and the semester and course. This page will not count towards your page total. In addition, you will submit a reference page that is on a separate page (does not count towards your point total) that is formatted in APA style. You should include headings within your paper (the headings are the bullet points under structure of paper) so I can clearly see you have addressed each component of the paper. However, you should use standard paragraph indentations (the paper should not be formatted like an outline)
References and Citations: Your references section and in-text citations must be formatted in APA style. See the resources on Blackboard for help formatting your references section. In addition, you should include in-text citations whenever you are discussing information you found in one of your sources. You should include in-text citations to all the required references so I can see how you used them in your paper. Each paper has a list of required references; however, you are welcome to include more references.
