  • I had a student ask me about this line of code in the war() pseudocode in the assignment: Find which is smaller: the number of cards in the player’s deck or 3. For help, look into the min() function from the <algorithm> library. He noted that checking for the min of deck size and 3 caused an issue when the size of the deck was three. Because one card needs to be held in reserve for comparison, the min should be between (deck size - 1) and 3. This accounts for the card that is needed for comparison. This is also the reason we need to write cases to handle when deck size = 0, because if we try to find the min of (deck size -1) and deck size = 0, we will return -1, which will issues in the code. The assignment has been updated with this clarification
