How could we not know and allow the abuse to continue? Is it ethnocentrism or what fomenting the current hysteria involving supremacy and racist accusations and attacks in recent months. What about reparations? Who should receive, and from where will the payments come? Does this foster unity or division in the society? We live in a politically correct society – but is that a façade? Is political correctness a way of avoiding truth, or eroding basic traditional values for which there is no rational explanation for discounting it? Explain the issue and your reaction to the possible disruption of your perfect society. How does being PC affect assimilation of groups of different national, religious, political origins impact a society? There is an accusation that ideological differences must be suppressed in terms of freedom of speech wherein parties are accused of racism or other forms of bigotry. What do these contemporary differences do? Do they compromise traditional standards and is this necessarily bad for the perfect society? Note: many of you will assume in Assignment 1 people in your ideal society were of like mind. People may be compatible, but their outlooks are not always identical.
