Group or Individual Presentation: Fast Track Emergency Department Case Studies-Analysis

You will be assigned in groups of four to five and collaborate on the assigned project. Each group will present on the following topics: (Please see below: you may elect to change from a Group Project to an Individual Assignment) Case Study Fast Track ED process analysis Presentation to the CEO and Board of UMC, whether to adopt the Fast Track ED process and cite the case study materials ( Assume that you are a new Business Analyst preparing a recommendation). Review the Case Study materials provided and prepare a short Executive Summary of three pages (APA Format, not including title page and reference page). The Group team will prepare a PowerPoint Presentation (12 to 15 slides with embedded sound recordings, excluding title and reference slides) with highlights of the analysis. Fast Track Emergency Department Effect of an Emergency Department At a minimum, each presentation should include a description of the analysis, work process, information system and utilizing departments or systems, functionality, and reporting capability. Students will use Microsoft Word to prepare and narrate the presentation. Also, prepare a YouTube or Panopto video presentation of at least 12 minutes, not to exceed 15 minutes. Each member of the team shall contribute analysis and slides to the final presentation; the team lead will assign tasks and final slides; the last slide should list contributions by each team member; zero contribution means zero points for team members who fail to contribute. Note: When offered as an online HCA 402 course, we will adjust the Group Presentation requirement wording and amend the assignment to become an Individual Presentation Assignment and drop the required video (YouTube or Panopto) but retain the requirement for slides. Complete the assignment and upload it to the file upload area of this assignment. Submit the document no later than Sunday (11:59 p.m. PST). Online students may elect to not be a member of their assigned Group-team by sending an email to the Instructor by September 9. Students will then pledge to complete as an individual assignment by 12/1/2019: they may skip the video but must submit the Executive Summary Paper and slides. The Instructor will randomly assign team leads: Groups -teams may rotate team leads every two weeks. Group-team leads will make assignments and due dates to other team members. If many students drop from one team, the Instructor will reassign team memberships.
