Breaking Down the Research Process This assignment will help you to clarify your understanding of the research report for disseminating counseling research and program evaluation. Select a peer reviewed research article (cannot be one that you used for a previous assignment/discussion) that relates to your week 1 topic and thoroughly review it. You should use class materials and use the rubric as guides to help you with your research paper. Consider the following sections (your paper may have similar or different sections): Dominant research goal/sub goals Sampling procedures Reasoning (e.g., deductive, inductive) Research questions Type(s) of data (e.g., numeric, Likert-format, observation notes, transcribed interviews) and data analysis (select at least two examples of data and describe at least one tool/procedure for data analysis for each tradition) Inferences/Interpretations from data (e.g., generality, transferability) Study limitations (e.g., researcher bias, reporting effect size, transparency) and possible ways to address one or more mistakes Do not just repeat what the article says.
