Identify the most frequent department in each relationship (see page 173) Draft the layout* Developing the facility layout it is like putting a puzzle together on a 600 X 600 grid The size of the departments are listed in the problem: OB/GYN, orthopedics, family practice, and radiology are 200 X 200 Reception area and supply room are 200 X 400. Place the departments on the grid so you respect the A and X relationships identified in the first part of the problem. *There are several options for layout in this situation.
