Film critique assignment

Instruction
To guide you through this, it's important to be thinking about what movie you want to review and critique from the films on the list. Many show up on AMC, Turner Classic Movies; most are available to rent, and many are available on Netflix, HuluPlus, Amazon Prime, or YouTube. If you are picking one that has been done as a remake, be sure you're getting the original version, not the remake. Check the director's last name in parenthesis next to the film title on the list for the correct version. Please note the following when completing this particular project: Make sure the material you include for your critique is original, and if you use someone else's comments that may be from a film review by a known critic, then you must give that person credit for the work either in footnotes or in a bibliography at the end of your paper. The majority of your paper should be in your own words. View link below to review how to avoid plagiarism when writing this paper. Using footnotes or a reference list at the conclusion of your paper to give proper credit will alleviate any problems with your work. The bulk of your paper should be your own comments, not someone else, so use quotes and professional film reviews sparingly. Contact me if you have any questions regarding this assignment or what constitutes plagiarism. Also, you do not have to format your paper with strict college formats except to follow the instructions and examples on how to format your first page and subsequent text from the link below. Note: The provided movie list is to be used by everyone. Each semester, several students email asking to review another film not on the list. You need to use the list and pick a film from it...there is something on it for everyone.
