Instruction
Answer the questions in the discussion. There is detailed information on how to make a video and the components of the video. You will want to type up your response first and are welcome to use it to read from. Some students find it's easier to tape the paper above them and then film this way it doesn't look like you are directly reading.
You will want to include this transcript in your discussion as well. Again remember it is similar to the other discussion you do so it doesn't need to be super long. You need to focus on covering the content and backing up what you say with at least two sources. Ex: According to Smith.....
Don't forget you also have to include this written part:
For your main post, create a video (using Kaltura) for this discussion in which you share why mental health counselors working with a depressed client should screen for bipolar disorder. What are the signs and symptoms the clinician should look for? Finally, write a short script sharing how you would explain the uses, benefits, and side effects of medication for bipolar disorder to someone you were referring for a medication evaluation. Post both the video and the script together in Week 2 discussion.
So in summary:
1. Make a video. First write out what you want to say so you can attach this transcript in the discussion.
2. Answer the underlined part of the discussion above and paste directly into the body of the discussion so your classmates can see this as well.
3. Respond to one classmate.
Self care activity
1. Go to discussion
2. Read Self-Care Activity.
3. Post your activity in the specific thread and answer some brief questions.

Peer and Instructor Response: In order to receive full credit for your discussion board participation, you must respond to at least 1 individuals (peers and/or instructor) with substantive responses and support these responses with references. In order to create a continuous scholarly interaction. Please note that your peer responses can occur prior to your primary response to the discussion board prompt. See the grading rubric for more information.
In addition, responses should reference the peer’s or instructor’s post in some way. Responses should add to the discussion by illustrating a personal experience with the topic; by asking follow-up questions after explaining what you found unclear or interesting about the peer’s/instructor’s post; or by building on examples provided.
