Instruction
Starbucks Corporation is an American coffeehouse. It is known for its variety of hand-crafted beverages, headquartered in Seattle, WA.
The products vary in range from coffee and teas to food and merchandise. Its core product offerings are the coffees. The varieties include Americanos, Mochas, Flat Whites, and more in addition to cold coffees. The second level of products is frappuccinos, iced teas, hot teas, and other cold beverages. The third level is the food that compliments the beverages like breakfast sandwiches, cookies, donuts, or protein boxes. Merchandise like mugs, cups and trinkets are also available.
Starbucks can be found in high traffic parts of a city. There may even two or three locations within a few miles. The products are also distributed in many retailers like Walmart, Target, and grocery stores for easy access for its customers. Some retailers may also offer those products online for customers that are not near a physical location.
The price of Starbucks' products is reasonable for the average person to consume its products. There does not seem to be any discount sales regularly, but they offer promotional deals to their rewards members. The retailers who resale Starbucks coffee often have sales. I personally have not seen any advertisements on television for Starbucks. Most of the advertising I see is on social media. You are encouraged to enroll in their rewards program to earn free drinks or food based on a set level of points received.
The value proposition of Starbucks is to serve hand-crafted quality beverages to satisfy the tastes of coffee connoisseurs. It does not seem to be a different proposition for each segment as people that frequent Starbucks mostly come for the beverages. The firms are the ones that determine what their value is to the public.
