Instruction
AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) is a technique used in persuasive business correspondences.
Read the following application letter and note how the author applies the AIDA approach to construction of the letter: ( attached file)
While cover letters should be brief, it is the one opportunity for you to show who you are rather than tell who you are.
For example, instead of "I have a thorough knowledge of Baylin Technologies, intercultural experience, and a global focus," the author writes, "I first began following Baylin Technologies during my junior year study abroad experience in the Philippines..."
1. Think about a quality that is important for your prospective employer and one that you feel that you possess.
2. How could you show your potential employer that you have the quality they are seeking rather than tellthe employer that you have that quality? What story or experience could you share?
