1. Read the biography of James M. Cain (linked) 2. Read the novella Double Indemnity (linked) 3.Watch Double Indemnity (the link will be below for access) 4. Write a Reaction Paper that is a minimum of 3 pages, size 12 font, Times New, and MLA format for citations. The paper must be an alternate ending to the story. You may just change the final pages or rewrite the ending from Walter Huff getting shot, or ending up in the hospital. It is not necessary for you to use dialog, but if you do you must use appropriate format for writing dialog in print. You may write it as the narrator, 3rd person perspective. 5. Part 2: Separately from the paper, Write a synopsis of the differences between the novella and the movie. Discuss the specific changes. Why were the changes made in your opinion. Did the changes affect the impact of the author's intent? Which did your prefer and why? This can be done within a page, doesn't have to be long. Need this by 10pm on the 21st of feburary.
