Project Summary: Employment interviews ---------The paper should have: No title page Title of paper at top, first heading, then first line of text (see example below); your name and page number will go in the header (right justified).---------- A minimum of 1,000 words but no more than 2,000 (excluding the reference list, other extraneous headings, etc.); significant points will be deducted for short papers. ---Times New Roman font, size 12, and 1 margins on all sides, double-spaced Paraphrase (do not simply rearrange words) and quote properly.---- Phrases of three words or more that are taken from a source must be placed into quotation marks () with the author(s) last name, year, and page number provided. A paper of this length should not have more than two small quotes per page and no more than one large quote overall. Any quotes that are used should have some obvious wow factor. -----Cite your sources within the paper as required following APA style. List at least eight preliminary sources on the topic. The textbook may be one of the sources. One source can be from a trade publication such as HRMagazine or a respectable internet site such as www.shrm.org. The remaining sources must be traditional academic sources (i.e., peer reviewed) including journal articles (electronic journal articles are fine) or edited books. All but one source must be from 2000 or later. Newspapers, news magazines, and trade magazines are NOT considered academic sources. Articles that are only one or two pages in length or have no references are probably not true academic sources. --------Additionally, the publication should be related to the topic. For example, Accounting Today is probably not a great source for current research in the area of sexual harassment or labor unions. If you have any doubts, please ask before submitting your reference list. See this tutorial for more information on scholarly sources: http://www.wou.edu/provost/library/clip/tutorials/pop_schol.htm Students are expected to use these sources for constructing the research paper. At least six sources must be used and cited (following APA requirements) within the paper. Students are encouraged to use more than six sources in the paper.
