Project Summary: College American History Essay Write an essay response citing and discussing no less than eight (8) specific events that have shown the global leadership of the United States from the end of the Civil War to the present day. Do not include the Civil War as one of your events. You may use any resource you like, but please write this in your own words and document each source. Maximum credit for the exam will require the minimum number of events be mentioned WITH an internet source hot linked from which the information included was taken. This source can be within the discussion of the event or at the end. It is also CRITICAL that you conclude your essay with what you see as the role of the United States in the world from 2013 forward. To explain further, do you see the U.S. continuing as a world leader, moving off of the world-wide stage, creating a partnership with other nations and sharing the top spot or do you envision a different scenario? Do keep in mind that this section is a personal opinion but it needs to be supported and your point of view needs to be supported.
