Project Summary: For this assignment, you will be asked to create a lesson and teach it to a child. Find a child whom you can spend 30-40 minutes teaching a new concept. This could be your own child, niece or nephew or it could be the child of a friend. Be sure you have permission from the parent or guardian prior to the lesson. Create a plan for teaching an activity to the selected child. Be sure that you are using an age appropriate approach. Using your plan, teach the child the lesson. Write a 4 page paper that outlines the lesson plan, including references to the readings about why you chose the learning approach that you did. Also, include a narrative about how receptive the child was to the lesson and your own experience teaching them. Referring back to chapter 1, do you identify with Erikson, Montessori, Piaget, Pratt, or Vygotsky's child socialization process with regards to learning? How so?
