Project Summary: In your readings this week you learned about the distinct experiences of LGBTQ youth and the challenges they face above and beyond the common struggles of abuse, poverty, and racial discrimination, they also face social exclusion, bullying, and criminalization based solely on their real or perceived sexual or gender minority status. The question for the essay is; What unique pathways may lead LGBTQ youth into crime and the criminal justice system AND what can be done to reduce those criminological risk factors?
