Project Summary: In the video, it is noted that we often think of sexism in isolation, just as we sometimes do with racism. But as Crenshaw 's Theory of Intersectionality highlights, we must begin to understand how these multiple forms of oppression interact and overlap with one another. Please answer the following questions: What is intersectionality? Why is it important to understand it? Lastly, how can an intersectional lens be applied when trying to identify and work towards dismantling sexism? You can focus on sexism in the home, workplace, etc. or you can discuss it more generally. For example, I might examine the feminization of poverty.
