Project Summary: The big picture: Use your understanding of democracy and authoritarianism to discuss in as nuanced a way as possible the ideals and the contradictions of US foreign policy towards Cuba. At this point in the course you have seen other examples of problematic US foreign policy towards its neighbors to the south. Therefore, a high quality paper will compare the example of Cuba with the example of Chile and potentially one other country from the region. What are the similarities and what are the differences, if any? Ideally your discussion board responses and your reaction paper (directly responding to the film) will have helped you get started on this paper. Borrowing from what you have already written is permissible here but be sure the writing is improved over your past attempts. Simply cutting and pasting wont due.
