Project Summary: Answer the following questions: 1. The law enforcement and community relationship have deteriorated in the past few years. Consequently, the community and public are questioning police legitimacy. As a criminal justice graduate student, what strategies can you offer to build trust relationships between police and the community and improve police legitimacy? Please answer the question based on topics such as procedural justice, police legitimacy, and police & community. 2. Since 2013, the Black Lives Matter, and Blue Lives Matter movements well symbolized the tension between law enforcement and the community, especially the African American community. Both campaigns have strong support from different social groups. From the perspective of the two movements, please write an essay on law enforcement and communities relationship by focusing on how and why the relationship declines, why it is crucial to reduce this tension, and what the public and police can do to repare the relationship.
