Project Summary: As you know, hunger on a world-wide level is epidemic. For this discussion I would like us to examine world hunger as a group. To accomplish this please select the two or three factors that you think are the most crucial in providing an adequate food supply. Present them each as their own submission to this discussion in a short (3 to 5 paragraphs), but well researched, essay. For each factor you should define the problem, discuss where it occurs, and propose ways that individuals, groups, governments and/or international organizations might attempt a solution. Of course, there is no one cause of such a complex situation, rather I am asking that you identify certain contributing factors and explain their role in creating hunger. In your essays you should address the following questions: Why have a number of the measures undertaken in the past not always been successful? Explain why you feel that the problems can or cannot be solved. Why are there pockets of hunger in our industrialized nation as well as in third-world countries?
