Instruction
1. Intriguing and informative title.
2. Clear INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH that includes; direct reference to the source text's title, writer, topic, and thesis/ main claims. Thesis/Main Claim about the author's use of LOGOS, PATHOS, AND ETHOS.
3. Strong paragraph; 3 body paragraphs/major supporting points, EACH ONE FOR LOGOS, PATHOS, AND ETHOS each argumentative appeal MUST include: Topic sentence that is relevant to the thesis/ main claim. Adequate development of each body paragragh should have clear REASONS to WHY your topic sentence is VALID and EXPANSION elaboration/ examples and analysis that show HOW and WHY your reason is valid. Using direct quotations from the text etc.
3. Purposeful and useful transitions that demonstrate linkages.
4. Concluding statements that not only restate but amplify the paragraph's topic sentence/sub claim/major supporting point.
5. A clear conclusion paragraph that amplifies your thesis statement (answers the SO WHAT? WHO CARES? questions) and tell your reader why your perspectives are important.
