Instruction
Think of a job you have or have-had. Then write about the experience while doing the following:
Part 1. Define each of the three phases of socialization that are listed in your textbook, in your own words, citing the textbook because while this is in your own words, you got your information for the definition from the textbook, so this is an indirect quotation. After defining the first phase, describe/tell how you experienced that in the job you have/have had in complete sentences. Then, define the second phase (in the same way you did the first). Tell how you experienced that second phase of socialization in that job. Then, define the third phase of socialization and tell how you experienced that third phase at the job you are choosing to write about. Each explanation should demonstrate that you understand the textbook reading about that phase. (This part should be about 300 words if you are trying to figure how much to write or what is "enough.") (Part 1 is worth 12 points)
Part 2. Name and define in your own words, but citing the textbook because it is an indirect quotation 2 information seeking tactics you engaged in at the job you chose to write about. Tell a short story or anecdote about what you said or did that makes you claim you used the 2 different, specific tactics you chose to describe. (This part should be about 100 words if you are trying to figure how much to write or what is "enough.") (Part 2 is worth 6 points)
Make sure to proofread your work for writing and grammar before turning it in. Points will be deducted for these mistakes. Make sure you are using Times New Roman, 12-point font, and that you are using 1-inch margins. There should be a reference page in APA style on the last page of your assignment, as well as in-text quotations. (worth 4 points)
