Poster Instructions
As part of this course assessment, you’ll design an academic poster discussing the role of lung ultrasound for diagnosing patients with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
You’ll be provided with scientific articles (attached) discussing this topic. Read the articles and summarize their findings and conclusions in the poster.
Deadline is Sunday 12 April 2020 at 11:59 pm
The poster should include the following:
Title
Your name and the course title and the university logo.
Introduction
Brief introduction about COVID-19. Explain what is lung US and how it is currently used in hospitals?
Body (this will have several headings)
Discuss the results of the studies I attached for you. Aim to focus on answering these questions:
1-What are the findings of COVID-19 on lung US scans?
2-What are the factors that may affect the findings?
3-What are the limitations of lung ultrasound?
4-Compare the CT and US findings in COVID-19.
5-Can US be used instead of CT?
Summary
Summarise what you wrote in the poster. For example, write about the following:
1-Can US be used to diagnose COVID-19?
2-Mention one or two future recommendations.
References
Cite the references you used in this presentation (maximum of 4)
General instructions (you must read them):
The poster should be in a landscape orientation of only one page.
This is an electronic poster; you don’t need to print it.
Submit your poster as a PDF file before the deadline.
The final word count should be between 400 and 700 words.
Include images (maximum of 4). Make sure you don’t distort the image when you resize it.
Do NOT plagiarise (copy and paste the text) (plagiarism will result in a failed attempt).
The design of your poster is extremely important:
Clear text and layout.
Use bullet points and headings to divide the poster.
Do not use more than three theme colours.
Use figures to explain your text and label each figure.
Do not use more than two fonts. You can change the size and formatting of the font.
Make sure the alignment of the text and images are perfect.
Make your headings in bold.
You can search online for tips on designing your poster.
You can use PowerPoint to design the poster or any other suitable software. You can also use templates available online.
You can get a feedback if you send your poster at least 7 days before the deadline.
