Instruction
Instructions:
1. Consider the information you have studied addressing constructive vs. non-constructive feedback in both formal and informal settings. At the same time, think about how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation impact the delivery and receipt of feedback from peers and supervisors. Now, refer back to the Skill-Building exercise you completed earlier this week and prepare a narrated slide presentation using PowerPoint, Prezi, or a similar presentation tool. In this presentation, show the following:
A slide showing an example of non-constructive feedback to an employee presented in an informal setting (such as on the floor, in the break room, or over lunch)
A slide showing an example of constructive feedback presented to an employee in an informal setting
A slide showing an example of non-constructive feedback presented to an employee in a formal setting (such as an individual performance review)
A slide showing an example of constructive feedback to an employee presented in a formal setting
2. Following the feedback examples, develop 4 slides that address how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation affect the way that feedback is delivered and received. Identify the elements of motivation that occurred in your feedback examples, discuss two motivational techniques that can be used to increase employee motivation, and explain the difference between positive and negative motivation.
3. The examples of feedback in this assignment should be caricatures of actual feedback; examples demonstrating exaggerated and/or funny characteristics that point out big differences between constructive and non-constructive feedback. Do not use any crude language in your examples, but do have fun with this assignment!
4. Outside sources are not required in this assignment. However, if outside sources are used to support your work, be sure to cite them to properly attribute credit. The guidelines for citations in a presentation may be found in the example presentation titled, "How to Cite PowerPoint Presentations Using APA Style" found here. Please use the guidelines found in this resource.
