This week you read about recent theories in career development, assessment in career planning, and developing a career development program. For this discussion, utilize your text and other resources to compare and contrast a traditional career theory as discussed in earlier chapters and a recent or postmodern theory from this week. Your discussion should include the following: 1. identification of a traditional and a recent or postmodern theory 2. a comparison of the two theories noting similarities and differences you discover 3. the focus of each theory and some description of use with a specific population 4. evaluation of the two theories with regard to ease of understanding, use, and the comprehensive nature (or lack thereof) of the theories Initial Post: You are required to make an initial original post and at least three original peer response posts.
