  • Sure. I can

  • Here is the answer. Please check and let me know if you have any questions.

  • Thank you, I'll let you know
    User_6449 | Apr 30, 2020, 15:26 PM
  • Thanks, this is similar to what I had calculated. Are you able to expand on how to achieve 5bar pressure?
    User_6449 | Apr 30, 2020, 15:43 PM
  • Let me check and get back to you
    StatECO | Apr 30, 2020, 16:16 PM
  • It might be possible by doing an energy balance - I have uploaded another image with the equation. Could you try with this and I will add a bonus to the finished work. Thank you.
    User_6449 | Apr 30, 2020, 16:28 PM
  • can I have 24 hours time? I have just came out side.
    StatECO | Apr 30, 2020, 16:46 PM
  • Yes that is fine, original deadline for tomorrow stays the same, thank you!
    User_6449 | Apr 30, 2020, 16:55 PM
  • You should be able to achieve the outlet pressure only by adding friction inside the pipeline. Since the lake is already at 60 m height, it has 5.88 bar pressure head and the pump generates some extra pressure and to receive 5 bar pressure at the outlet, we need to add the necessary friction inside the pipe (Surface roughness and material may be selected accordingly).

  • How can I calculate the 5.88 bar pressure head? Do we need to consider pressure gradient? I think that's where the extra equation come s in. Thanks

  • Bernoulli's equation?
    User_6449 | May 01, 2020, 07:24 AM
  • Yes. it can be we can use Bernoullis equation , while considering pressure gradient. Please close this order and open new.
    StatECO | May 01, 2020, 08:27 AM
  • Are you able to complete within this order, and I will increase the bonus?
    User_6449 | May 01, 2020, 08:55 AM
  • I need 24 hours. It is new approach and again we ahve to rethink as a concept.
    StatECO | May 01, 2020, 09:01 AM
  • Okay, that is fine. Thank you for helping.
    User_6449 | May 01, 2020, 09:08 AM
  • Hi, any update on this? Thanks.
    User_6449 | May 02, 2020, 21:04 PM
  • No. Adapting that equation , some difficult reaching final value.
    StatECO | May 02, 2020, 21:53 PM
  • Are you able to share what you have done so far? I am having trouble converting to Kw power
    User_6449 | May 03, 2020, 22:01 PM
  • I am not getting those and sorry for that.
