PHIL - Critical Responses 1-2) In this course you will have to write two critical responses to the book by Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac, Surviving the Climate Crisis. Should be typed, double spaced, and 750 words in length. It should have the following structure: • Briefly summarize what each of the two chapters of the book you have selected is about. • Identify a main claim made in this chapter. • Reconstruct the author’s argument in support of this claim. (Be charitable in your interpretation of the argument.) • Discuss the strength and weakness of this argument, in particular, how well you think it can be justified (by example, analogy, authority, cause, or some other form of reasoning).
