This option is for those who enjoy the military history of the Civil War. In a brief essay address the following: What was the Union's most important military victory in the Civil War? What was the Confederacy's? Describe the circumstances, the military leaders, and their strategies in the battles you have chosen above. Why did the victorious army win? Why, in each instance, was the victory important? Summarize anything you learned that was new concerning the Civil War Quotations from your credible sources are encouraged. Use a minimum total of 3 authored, credible sources, in addition to your textbook, to support your opinions and conclusions. Write a short (1-2 sentences) bio of the author(s) of each of your sources. OR The Reconstruction era has been labeled by many historians and journalists as an unfinished revolution.  Evaluate why this is true by.... Analyzing 3 different and distinct ways this statement is true based upon the events that unfold during the Reconstruction Era through 1877 Evaluating what specifically could the U.S. government have done differently between 1865 and 1890 to increase the success of the Reconstruction Era based upon your answers above? You may want to consider 20th and 21st century events here. Quotations from your credible sources are encouraged.
