Do we really want to go 'back' to how it was, the impossible hamster? What lessons from econ hist and the current pandemic do you think can be learned to make the 21st c the civilization you would like to inhabit. The levels of analysis, recall, are nesting dolls (those Russian babushka dolls) and your micro or material life is determined by the macro system we live in. What theme will dominate your 21st mid century can create your ideal 2075? The stone age did not end for lack of stones. A better idea came along - which necessitated changing the whole thing. Finally, the prompt does not require you to install or prefer change. It requires you to analyze both the micro and the macro and the connection between the two.
