Discussion During the month of June, we will be investigating supply chain security as it relates to project management. It is important that you understand security issues associated with building complex systems out of third party components of unknown (and potentially unknowable) origin. Part 1: For Part 1 of this month’s discussion post, do the following: Step 1: Search the Web or NSU's database for a recent article related to supply chain security. Step 2: After reading the article, provide a 400-500-word post describing some of the issues you identified (e.g., outsourcing of hardware and/or software development and/or integration). Explain what implications these issue have on project management and the project manager. At the end of your post, provide the full reference for the source in APA format. Label this post as Part 1. Part 2: After completing Part 1 of the assignment, do the following for Part 2: Step 1: Go back and respond to at least one of your classmate’s posts from Part 1. Select one where you can add value or offer additional information. Step 2: Continue to research articles, news stories, etc. relating to supply chain security. Based on what you’ve read in the discussion forum, the articles you’ve read, and what you’ve learned about project management from our textbook, what are some ways potential risks can be mitigated? What are possible limitations to those methods? Post a reply to your Part 1 post (label it as Part 2) explaining your answer in approximately 200-300 words. Provide a link to one resource on the Web that you found useful on this topic.
