There are two small assignments. Both of the assignment are easy and require 500 words. One of the assignment is to find a song that is related to Education then write 500 words on that by answer question in the instruction. Second assignment is to watch a video " precious knowledge" if you can because it requires 4 dollars to watch it. I am willing to add a bonus of 5 dollars for that. Or there are two examples of students who watch the video and wrote their summary, so you can read two of the examples of students then write 500 words based on what they wrote to answer the questions in the instruction.Everything has to be original work and plagiarism free. Again, Both assignment must have 500 word count.

Assignment one on Education Song- These are requirements and questions that we have to follow in order to fulfill the assignment requirement. Assignment: Post your chosen song. Education Explain, in a short paragraph (500-word count min), how your song reflects the Education experience and how the song demonstrates a counter-narrative analysis of Education If you can include a video or audio of the song, that would be ideal! Please also post the lyrics! Respond to your peer's forum post and your thoughts on their chosen song. Criteria: Post song (the title of the song, artist name, lyrics, and video or link if possible) 500-word count min.in answering: how your song reflects the education experience and how the song demonstrates a counter-narrative analysis of education Assignment 2 on Precious Knowledge- Forum Questions: What do you think of the Banning of Mexican American Studies (MAS) in Arizona? What are the historical connections between colonialism and the banning of MAS? How do you feel about the recent victory for Ethnic Studies? And there are the examples that you can look at and answer the question if you do not want to rent the video. Example- The banning of Mexican American Studies (MAS) in Arizona is messed up. There is no reason for it to be banned. Only because it is not American ideals or history does not mean that it's not history, that it doesn't matter. All history matters no matter if you're connected to that history or not. Learning about all types of history gives you more knowledge of the people around you. Ethnic Studies is a positive experience for all walks of life. Knowing more about other history or historical events can help you see life through other people’s eyes and understand what they have experienced. There is no reason for it to be banned. If Ethnic History is to be banned in Arizona then why is American History not banned in Mexico or all the other South American countries. I know the United States cannot do anything about what type of American History is being taught in other countries but why should it be taught if the United States does not want us to teach each other our own Ethnic History. The Arizona State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Horne is trying to ban Ethnic Studies classes in Arizona. He wants to ban Ethnic Studies classes because he believes these classes separate students by race. Horne says he participated in the March on Washington in 1963 when he was in High School. He then quotes Martin Luther King Jr. who said “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” To be honest, who knows if it is true that Tom Horne participated in the March on Washington in 1963 because there were over 250,000 people there. But since he is trying to ban Ethnic Studies classes I say this is all a lie so he can seem like a good person and not a racist. He believes that Ethnic Studies classes separate students from race and ethnicity. This is all wrong. Throughout the whole movie you can see multiple races of students learning about Ethnic History in the Ethnic Studies classes. Tom Horne is trying throughout the movie to portray the Ethnic Studies teachers as racists even though they are not. In the classes they may talk about race but they never put down any race or ethnicities, they only tell the truth about the United States and this is why Tom Horne and others are trying to ban Ethnic Studies in Arizona. The Ethnic Studies teachers in this movie see that students from multiple races choose to participate in their class and that makes them happy because it allows them to spread more knowledge on Ethnic History to multiple races and communities of people. Tom Horne is trying to eliminate Ethnic Studies classes without ever being inside and witnessing a class. He is invited to the classes but he declines and denies that he was asked to witness a class. The only person in the whole movie to witness a class is the Senate Education Committee Chairman, John Huppenthal even though he was in the class and part of the conversation he believes the class was a show for him, meaning it was all fake. Colonialism can be seen in the banning of (MAS) because Arizona is seeking to retain authority over its people by banning Ethic Studies so students, graduates, etc can not learn about the history of other countries or other historical events that are not significant to the U.S. or that portray the United States in bad light. Even though Ethnic Studies classes are banned in Arizona it is amazing to see so many people from different races fighting for what is right. This shows the power Ethnic people have in a state and country that oppresses them on a daily basis.
