Part 1:Module 3 : Reflection 1 -- Video - Federally Mandated Elements of the IEP
Our three videos for this week describe and discuss some of the federally mandated elements of an individualized education program (IEP). The elements described in these videos are IEP elements that you will be required to demonstrate knowledge of in some of your course activities and assignments.
The following reflection prompts are designed to help you more closely examine these concepts and share your personal feelings and opinions about them as an educator.

Part 2: Module 3: Discussion 1 -- Designing and Delivering Specialized Instruction for Students with Disabilities
Chapter 1 of your text describes and analyzes the instructional cycle and the key features of effective instruction. As well, the issues related to designing instruction, delivering instruction, and assessing progress for students with disabilities are discussed.
The following discussion questions are designed to help you more closely examine this concept.

These IEPs should include a student’s present level of academic and social performance, and goals based on the student’s developmental needs, to include the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse individuals across diverse settings.
Instructions:
Using case study #1 and the IEP template, complete the following sections of an IEP:
1.Eligibility Category
2.Present Level of Performance Statement
3.Priority Educational Needs
4.Service Delivery Options
