Identifying Major Findings-Student expand on developed knowledge from previous assignments and additional exploration including research, possible community meetings or interviews and begin to make some conclusions regarding their findings. The overall topic that I have chosen is Child Abuse and Neglect, with the overall population being children and families. The particular area that I have chosen to look at his East Downtown area of Houston, Texas (Central Houston). So you are using the population and issue above as the basis to draw the information for the questions below Answer the following questions: 1. Who is the client system, in the area where you are researching, that is most affected by this issue? (page 8) 2. How many people are affected by the issue? Who are they? Where are they? Give specific information. Use data from well researched sources such as United Way, CDC, Gov’t, etc. 3. Find 6 articles related to your chosen topic (social work, psychology, sociology, or other empirically based, professional source). Cite those 6 articles using APA in writing here. 4. Give the demographics of the population most effected as you learned in your research (age, gender, race, etc.) 5. Provide 3 specific ways that this issue impacts the population, either positive or negative. 6. Name 5 interesting facts you discovered about the population most effected by the issue. Identify your Major Findings Refer to page 335 Course Text & Identify 3 key findings as demonstrated on Page 335. Then, make yourself a chart including the Strengths, Gaps in services, opportunities, and challenges. Kirst-Ashman, K.K., Hull, Grafton H. (2017).
