Report Structure: * Introduction. * Discussion (news summary linked to the macroeconomics concepts}. * Conclusion. * References. To achieve higher Grades you have to show evidence of: • You are allowed to collect digitally articles from any secondary sources such as newspapers, magazines, published reports.…etc. • You are required to collect at least 20 articles for the portfolio task (Min. 10 articles for each area). • The articles should be from the latest newspapers/magazines/internet sources (January 2020 to Aug 2020) • Please note that it is the relevance and quality of the articles collected that will help you in getting higher grades and not the number of articles. • You are basically required to collect information related to Oman’s economy. • Source and date of each article should be provided • For articles collected from an electronic source (a newspaper’s electronic version or a website) you should provide the link and the date along with the article. • Brief relevant commentaries on collected articles should be provided. • The student is also required to submit a short written report of around 700 to 1000 words, summarizing their findings on the current economic developments in Oman in the two selected areas based on the articles collected and related to student’s knowledge of macroeconomics. • Emphasis is on quality rather than quantity. Students are expected to focus on relevant news and to be able to relate their real findings to the economic concepts they learnt. Any report submitted that is longer than 1000 words, will only have the first 1000 words marked and therefore will most likely suffer in terms of the grade.
