PLEASE UTILIZE THE REQUIRED TEXT CHAPTER 6 AND 7 ALONG WITH THE MODULE 4 POWER POINTS TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING ASSIGNMENTS. TEXTBOOK ACCESS, POWER POINTS AND RUBRICS FOR EACH PART ARE ALSO ATTACHED.
Part 1: Module 4: Discussion 1 - Questions for Module 4 Discussion Board
Here in Module 4 (Instruction Facilitating Classroom Management), you have explored how to take the management of students with exceptionalities to the next step: utilizing various instructional strategies to motivate students in the areas of behavior and academics. To further deepen your understanding and to examine this information in a new perspective, the following discussion questions are provided.
Instructions:
Provide a written response to each of the three discussion questions listed below:
1. It is the beginning of the year, and Mr. Li notices that 23 of his 25 middle school students are following the correct procedures for heading their papers and handing in work. Mr. Li decides that a 92% compliance rate is pretty good, and decides not to address the issue with the two students who aren’t following the procedure. Given what you’ve learned from this chapter, evaluate Mr. Li’s decision.
2. List two ways a teacher can provide students with choices before a unit of curricular study begins. Then list two ways that she can provide choice during instruction, and two ways that she can provide choice after the unit is completed.
3. Brain research and educational research suggest that academic achievement increases when students are engaged at levels of thinking that include more than just regurgitation of facts. Delineate the four levels of instruction as specified in our text, then choose a single grade level and give an example of an experience that a teacher might use for each level.
Its required to respond to two classmates discussion post. Please use attached rubric.
Part 2: Module 4: Assignment 2 - Classroom Rules and Procedures
This module examined in depth the importance of proper classroom rules and procedures. Students are now required to contemplate the similarities and differences between them and then to write a one to two page response to this topic.
Instructions:
Consider the information presented here in Module 4 regarding the importance of classroom rules and procedures. Then write a summary of the similarities and differences between the two. Also included in this response will be lists of exemplar classroom rules and procedures. List no more than five (5) classroom rules that adequately address all required areas of classroom behavior. List at least five (5) procedures that would be needed for a classroom to run smoothly. Students will provide explanations and rationales for why they selected those particular rules and procedures.
Responses are to be answered thoroughly, following the APA guidelines 6th edition when citing references from the book and other sources. They are also to be clearly written without grammatical and/or spelling errors.
Submission Instructions:
This assignment should be edited for grammatical and spelling errors and adhere to the general writing style and formatting guidelines of the APA Manual (7th ed.).
Part 3: Module 4: Assignment 3 - Part 1 of Classroom Management Kit
(FYI-This includes part 1 of a project. If you login to my canvas, and go to Cisco Webex in the left panel, click recordings and view ESE 510 Synchronous Session #2 (skip to 12:07) the instructor goes over the entire project. Again, part 1 of the project, (the glossary) is due now. You are only doing to glossary part here.)
One of the major assignments for this course is the Classroom Management Kit. An in-depth description of the project was provided in the first and second synchronous sessions in Modules 1 and 2. It is also described in the course syllabus.
Instructions:
The entire Classroom Management Kit assignment is due on the final day of this course (Module 7, Day 7 (October 11, 2020). However, the first segment of the project is due in this module. By Day 7 of Module 4 (Sunday, September 20, 2020), the first portion of the glossary component of the project is due. Please submit the Glossary portion of the project with a minimum of twelve (12) Win-Win strategies completed.
As a reminder, the final glossary is to contain a minimum of 25 "win-win" strategies. The glossary must provide a description and an example of each strategy listed. When compiling this, keep in mind that home and cultural values may interface with school sociocultural behaviors (e.g., only speaking to adults when invited to speak).
You will receive feedback on the first 12 strategies due here, enabling you to make any needed corrections to them and/or to the format of the kit prior to the submission of the entire project.
Submission Instructions:
This portion of the overall project, the glossary containing the first twelve (12) strategies is due on Day 7 (Sunday) of this module (Sunday, September 20, 2020, 11:59 p.m. EDT).
Relation to Other Assignments in this Course:
As explained above, only this small segment (the glossary with the first twelve strategies to be included) is due at this time. The remainder of the project is due on the final day of this course (Module 7, Day 7 - Sunday, October 11, 2020
