Instruction
1. Blue Sunnsuside's psychologist diagnoses them with Bipolar 1 Disorder, but she is not sure of the diagnosis and to better help the client she sends them (the client) to her colleague for further assessment and later on her colleague agrees with the diagnosis. What is this process called? Explain. 2. Ifeelgood is a new client and came in for general assessment. Psychologist suspects a personality disorder but to make sure he does not misdiagnose, he conducts structured and unstructured interviews and administers the most relied upon personality test. A. What are structured and instructed interviews? Describe. B. Which personality test did the psychologist administer? Describe. 3. Mr. Dolittle has a strange reaction to gay men. He feels both uncomfortable and at home around gay men and at oftentimes even strong sexual desire for them. Yet, he denies any attraction to them, to the contrary he constantly "mocks" a gay "lifestyle" and considers himself completely heterosexual, yet he is a frequent visitor at the local gay bar. When confronted he says it is because it is easier to talk to guys than girls and he always has a better time at a gay bar than a straight one, even though he is "strictly heterosexual" :-) He came to a psychologist because lately he had been seeing many dreams containing strong same sex content and he want to know why? Why would a "very heterosexual man" see such dreams? To revel hidden characteristics and possibly his unacknowledged desires and feelings about homosexuality which projective tests will be appropriate to administer in this case? Explain.
