Read documents 159 and 161 in the Voices of Freedom documents book (pages 211-214 and 218-221). [This documents book is packaged with the Give Me Liberty, Volume 2, 6th edition textbook.] After reading the documents, answer the following questions in a one-page essay format. You are a foreign policy adviser to President Truman. What are your thoughts on the Truman Doctrine? Do you agree with the current stance of the administration with respect to communism? Explain. What are your feelings about Walter Lippmann’s critique of the Truman Doctrine? Do you think he makes any valid points?
