Instruction
This exam has 3 essay questions. . Each essay should be double spaced, using a 12 point font, and at least two pages in length, making an overall total of at least 6 pages for the three essays. Regarding sources, use the textbook and the discussion question websites, presentations etc. It is ok to use outside sources, but make sure you cite any sources you use in a Works Cited page at the end of each essay. The course technician informs me that you HAVE TO SUBMIT THE ESSAYS IN ONE FILE AND USE THE GOOGLE CHROME WEB BROWSER or your submissions may not go through. It seems that you cannot use Internet Explorer or Safari. Essay Question 1: Why did many Americans interpret Britain's attempt to control its colonial empire after 1763 as a sinister conspiracy to enslave colonials by depriving them of property and liberty? Essay Question 2: To what extent did the American Revolution effect a fundamental change in American society? How far had Americans gone by 1790 in fulfilling the ideal of equality? Essay Question 3: What issues led to the war between Britain and the United States in 1812? How did each issue contribute to the outbreak of war?
