There is no need to engage in a long discussion of Covid-19 – focus on the theorists! The examples from Covid-19 are there to make it easier to discuss the theories in a relevant situation.
2. Living in the City after Covid – Can Durkheim or Simmel guide us?
Social interaction in the city and in communities has become ‘dangerous’ in the era of Covid-19. On the other hand, new forms of neighbourhood solidarity have emerged such as local WhatsApp group, volunteering to help the vulnerable, socialising around walks and exercise, and more.
