  • Debatably the speaker was effective in almost all the areas of speech delivery. However, there is one essential area of speech delivery, which is the rate he could improve on. Rate is the speed at which a person speaks, and for this area of delivery, I think the speaker rate did not vary through at times. It was an extemporaneous speech, and the rate should naturally fluctuate because the rate is an important tool in enhancing meaning in a speech. No one wants to give a drone rapid style delivery for that reason; the speaker could perhaps adopt a rate that is varying rapid and slower rate within his speech. Arguably he could improve on this to emphasize his main points and keep his speech more interesting.
