Distinguish key characteristics across developmental realms associated with various ages and stages of human growth and development
Examine and critically evaluate both theories and empirical findings in development (from conception through death)

Interpret and apply information learned in class to facilitate understanding of the psychological characteristics of the student and others
Instructions: Please interview a teenager in order to expand your understanding of the concepts discussed in Chapters 8 & 9, and potentially Chapter 10.
Many students inquire about the type of questions you should be asking. I recommend that you outline the Chapters to determine what type of questions you are comfortable asking. As noted, the nature of your relationship with the teen will highly influence the focus of the interview. I would prefer you to construct a list based on your understanding of the material and your relationship with the teen.
After you have completed the interview, please submit a summary of your conclusions. Please take care to link the information gained in the interview to the concepts outlined in the textbook in order to demonstrate your understanding of the material. As with exam essay questions, please be sure to use, underline, and define all relevant terms while also providing a direct example of the concept as it relates to the experiences of the teen you interviewed.
Format: This summary should be 2 to 3 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font, Arial, or Times New Roman with 1-inch margins. Please attach a copy of your interview questions and/or notes from the discussion, and submit with your interview summary by the prescribed due date.
