Instruction1.US President Elect Joe Biden is being pressured by his opponents not to participate in any climate initiatives such as the Paris Agreement. He wants to unit a divisive country and recognizes that his strongest opponents are climate deniers for a variety of reasons. Prepare an analysis which draws on as many lines of arguments as appropriate to convince him that the United States needs to prioritize climate initiatives. 2.Imagine a scenario where at some point in the future you are in a position of power and you are leading the response to address a new global environmental threat. There is very little known about the threat, but you are aware that taking action may threaten the livelihood of some in your community, while not addressing it may cause harm to many more. Present a plan which identifies the various disciplinary experts you would assemble as part of your team and the contributions you are hoping they will bring including their approaches and questions you will ask them to address. 3.A friend learns you have decided to stop using a certain personal care product and that you have started selectively buying some organic products since taking this course. They think you are over-reacting and assures you organic labelling is a gimmick, and that the government would have recalled any products if really harmful. As further proof they assert that they personally have never suffered any ill effects from using the product or consuming traditionally grown produce. Present an analysis incorporating as many relevant components of the course as appropriate to identify the concepts, supporting data and reasons that led you to undertake some of these changes. 4.Using as many relevant examples as possible from both the climate change and environmental health modules, present evidence that some of the most vulnerable and/or isolated regions of the world seem to suffer a disproportionate amount of the negative consequences of environmental harm. Present an analysis of why this is so, and viable recommendations to minimize this inequity.
