This movie addresses different legal theories we have already and will continue to discuss throughout the remainder of the course (ethics/civil procedure/trials/criminal law/criminal procedure/torts/contracts/agency/corporations and more). Many famous actors are in the film- Matt Damon, Danny DeVito, Claire Danes, Mikey Rourke, John Voight, Danny Glover, and more. You are expected to turn in a one-page paper addressing some of legal theories you have learned in lecture and apply them to the facts within the movie i.e. categorize the issue(s) at hand and determine the outcome/result of each of the numerous issues you've chosen to discuss. these are some terms that have might be discussed : Tort Law Intentional torts Assault, Battery, False imprisonment, IIED, Conversion, trespass to land, trespass to chattels Defenses to intentional torts Negligence and its defenses Defamation-slander/libel and its defenses Privacy torts Strict liability Product liability and its defenses Negligence
