Probability is a concept that relates to everyday life, as well as to statistics. In everyday life, we use probability to evaluate choices, make decisions, and interpret outcomes. In statistics, probability is used in similar ways.
Finding Probability
For this discussion, begin by reflecting on your daily routines. Identify a recent situation in which you have used or applied probability to help you make a decision or evaluate something. Then develop a main response in which you address the following:
Summarize the situation that involved probability.
Explain how probability was relevant.
Discuss how you applied probability.
Evaluate the extent to which probability helped the overall situation
2.What aspects of bacteria lent ( & lend) themselves as a useful tool to molecular biologists (who have used bacteria in cloning DNA of interest for four decades)? Answer in terms of overall safety, bacterial growth rate, bacterial DNA makeup and bacterial DNA replication.
3.Much of the elegant molecular machinery that exists in every cell is dedicated to the production and utilization of the energy required for an organism to maintain the living state. How much food must an animal eat every day to maintain health? Why does the brain consume energy even when resting?
4.Undergoing moderate activity, an average person will generate about 350 kJ of heat per hour. Using the heat of combustion of palmitic acid
(ΔH= −9977.6 kJ/mol)as an approximate value for fatty substances, estimate how many grams of fat would be required per day to sustain this level, if all were burned for heat.

This week's discussion has 2 parts. They should both be answered in the main post.
Part 1:
Visit the CDC website (cdc.gov (Links to an external site.)). If you place: epidemiology of ______ (a disease), several page options will come up.
Choose a disease covered in the current chapter that was not covered by a classmate in previous weeks and tell us what type of information is available about the disease you picked.
Part 2:
Formulate a researched, detailed and college level answer for the following:
What are nosocomial infections?
In your research, what are some popular nosocomial infections?
What are protocols set in place to prevent nosocomial infections?
