You have been learning lots of organic chemistry so far this semester, but it's important to remember that everything you've learned was discovered by chemists. This is a very modern field, in which we are actively discovering new drugs, reactions, and techniques. To highlight this, I've selected an article that introduces you to >50 chemists and briefly describes their work. I want you to pick 3 of them and answer these questions about them: What is their name: Where do they work: (What university or what company?) What kind of chemistry do they do? (1 paragraph) Why did this chemist / chemistry interest you? (3 sentences) This article is only a window into the works of these scientists and can help you select three chemists to look into. Once you've picked a chemist, google them, most of them have a wikipedia page or personal website that gives you a ton of information about their work that can help you answer the questions above.
