InstructionThis week, we will continue on with the Legal Environments of Business Law. Specifically, we will deeply be looking into civil disputes regulations. We will be studying in details about the notions of Torts, Negligence, and Strict Business Liability, Chapter three of your reading assignment will familiarize you with our Federal and State Court Systems and their jurisdiction. You will also learn about the many steps involved in Civil Dispute Resolution and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Chapter seven will cover Intention Torts. There you will be able to review several past court cases on record and how they were come about and ruled. Chapter Eight will cover Negligence and Strict Liability. I'm sure you will appreciate the reading of those three chapters. As always, I'm here to answer any question that you may have regarding the materials. Let's start this week's discussion: Lana, a ten-year-old child, is run over by a car negligently driven by Mitchell. Lana, at the time of the accident, was acting reasonably and without negligence. Clark, a newspaper reporter, photographs Lana while she is lying in the street in great pain. Two years later, Perry, the publisher of a newspaper, prints Clark’s picture of Lana in his newspaper as a lead to an article concerning the negligence of children. The caption under the picture reads: “They ask to be killed.” Lana, who has recovered from the accident, brings suit against Clark and Perry. What is the result? Explain.
