English essay Develop an original response that reflects your understanding of the themes, ideas and writing style/s of an author or authors within ‘Growing Up Asian in Australia’. You may choose to either write about a personal experience, or create a new story all together. Imagine that this could be an additional story included within Alice Pung’s ‘Growing Up Asian in Australia’. Consider the way that each of the stories in this collection has a ‘take-away’ message for the reader. Remember that your piece of creative writing needs to contain a didactic message for your reader as well. Before you start developing your response, identify what you want your reader to learn as a result of engaging with your piece of writing. Show an understanding of the world of ‘Growing Up Asian in Australia’ and the explicit and implied values it expresses Be able to use a range of literary devices and appropriate language to construct a creative response to the text Draft, review, edit and refine creative interpretations of the text for expressiveness, accuracy, fluency and coherence, and for stylistic effect. Must read a passage of Growing up Asian in Australia to understand authors style of writing. Use similar language techniques to show instead of state. Word count around 700 words . Have provided an example too better guide you.
