  • The proposal is answering the 4 questions and you don't have to do it in an essay form. Also I'm in the online class for this course specifically meaning it's a bit hard to do any experiment on my classmates online but the file says the idea can be an experiment, a quasi experiment, or a correlation, just not a survey or other type of descriptive research.

Here is what I got as a feedback;- "I'm not totally clear on the novelty. When you say complex problems as opposed to simple problems what do you mean? Can you give an example? Isn't the tower of Hanoi complex? Here is another idea to consider: could you look at intelligence and incubation? Do people higher in intelligence show more of a benefit of incubation?"

  • Hi :), Following this assignment, is it possible to do the project material part? I mean the actual task to test students online. By the way, here is one of the comments from my TA for the methods part in the proposal. "The independent variable is incubation, and with intelligence as a quasi independent variable, the dependent variable is number of trials solved or something like that depending on your task I'm not clear how study hints fits here, what does that have to do with your question, by time do you mean incubation, and what tasks aren't they all doing the same task? So what I was thinking was that you could have incubation as a within subjects variable, half of the trials are incubated half not, then you would split people up into two groups based on a median split of intelligence, if you also want to include hints this would give you 8 conditions which I assume you don't want" btw is there a short iq test you can use?
