Think about an issue or problem you’ve encountered in your current or previous work settings. This spirit of inquiry is the first step of the EBP process. Using one of these practice-based problems, you will create a problem statement and EBP question that will serve as the first step of a larger ongoing EBP assignment in this course. This paper will include the following components:

Instruction
Title page Problem statement that serves as an argument for the importance of your chosen topic/problem (at least three paragraphs using guidance from your assigned readings and information from the video-based lecture) A properly formatted EBP question in either the PIO or PICO format that relates to your problem statement. You should place your PIO or PICO-formatted question at the end of your problem statement within your paper. Reference list This is a formal APA paper. Therefore, all content should be written in third person following correct APA formatting rules. A title page and reference list are required for this assignment. However, you should not include an abstract. The paper should be double-spaced and typed in size 12 Times New Romans font. Students should submit their assignments as a Microsoft Word document. No other file types will be accepted for grading. A reference page with corresponding in-text citations are required. At minimum, students must reference four peer-reviewed resources that were not included in this week’s readings. These references should be used to develop your problem statement. You may also include references from this week’s readings, but these will not count for the four required external peer-reviewed resources. The paper will comprise of 750 words, not including the title and reference pages.
