Answer 2 prompts and rewrite one scene on Beowolf. Must be complete 10 plus sentence paragraph for each prompt. The scene must be 4 plus double spaced pages and Must use descriptive language of a few different types and senses and written according to instructions below.

REQUIREMENTS: ● Must answer 2 prompts ● Label the prompts ● Each answer must be 10+ sentences ● Paper must be in MLA format PROMPTS Prompt A: Identify 3 elements in Beowulf that make it an epic poem and give examples of each from the text. Prompt B: What values are important in the Anglo-Saxon culture? Identify 2-3 values shown in Beowulf by providing textual evidence. Prompt C: What traits make Beowulf a hero? Give at least 3 specific examples from the text. Prompt D: After Beowulf kills Grendel, he searched for him and cut off his head. Why? Is this behavior heroic or not? Explain. Prompt E: Which of Beowulf’s battles was the most gruesome: Beowulf vs Grendel, Grendel’s Mom, or the dragon? Explain why. ****Pick on scene from Beowulf (not the whole story) and rewrite it in your own words. Use vivid language and sensory details in your rewrite. Use unit vocabulary words and figurative language to add to your description. This is a descriptive writing assignment, therefore your text needs to show that. When you are finished you should ask yourself, “Does my writing effectively convey the same overall impression of the original poem?” REQUIREMENTS: ● Must be AT LEAST 4 pages double spaced ● Little to no grammatical errors ● Paper must be in MLA format Must use descriptive language of a few different types and senses.
